The Work (in Progress)

I've been writing a chapter every few days for a couple of months now. My lady and I will sit down and read or listen to the chapters as they're written, and I'll have the pleasure of watching her facial expressions change as the story unfolds.

She offers feedback on what feels lacking or confusing, and I reincorporate it into the book as we go.

It's like our own private book club, and it's awesome.

I'm absolutely 'not' a narrative writer by trade. I'm way better at technical writing. In other words, the concise, structured delivery of information and all that. So this has been a great challenge to help push the boundaries of my talents, and my comfort with the genre in general.

Spice level?

I can only really ballpark an answer to this right now. The book so far has not been super horny, and instead has leaned into some indulgent moments driven by underlying relationships and circumstances.

You can check out a (slightly more) spicy teaser by joining the waitlist, and while I think that things will be a bit more heated and explicit later in the book, each chapter I write is itself an evolution toward becoming more comfortable with writing those sorts of scenes.
